An interesting fragment from an old (1960) books by Gorky authors Illariya Nikolaevna Belyaeva and Nikolay Nikolaevich Vladimirova "Cutting and sewing of women's dresses". Belyaeva co-authored with Vladimirov in 50-70 years published several books on cut and technology for individual tailoring. These books successfully combine high design idea with an accessible presentation of the material. Although described in books, the basic patterns are outdated, the modern reader can learn from them brilliant design ideas. The sewing technology described in the books is in many ways it is not outdated yet.
